My Opinion on the United States of America
(The following text is an emotional, biased, and personal rant of a nobody, rather than a professional, peer-reviewed assessment of the objective conditions of empiric reality and state within which we coexist.)
It dawns on me that the United States of America have never been that Great.
When I think about the “Make America Great Again” political slogan, I do wonder if anyone could realistically mention a specific year where the United States of America was truly Great. In fact from an historical perspective, I slowly realize how utterly bad it has been at being great.
I simply feel that international culture has put them on a sort of pedestal for being democratic and free, while in fact objectively the actions and morales of the country, both from its people and the government body, do seem to point at a civilization where doing anything remotely sane and of common sense takes actual blood and sweat to bring about. They do not hold the superior moral authority on anything, and as such I advise following the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as alternative guiding principles for ethical and moral reference.
Perhaps, as a global culture and international community, we can foster and respect our individual differences and common similarities without relying on a specific nation for reference to Justice, Right and Wrong, Morality, and Freedom, especially one which has not had a good track record with maintaining, respecting, or upholding these principles above arbitrary and ill-placed Nationalism, Ego, Selfishness, and Pride, nor in a manner consistent with a nation willing to show principles of humility, decency, introspection, selflessness, and effort towards the betterment of all Mankind, even domestically.
I do not condone racism and xenophobia towards the American people based on their nationality, but rather want to appeal to the sensibilities that this nation is suffering at the hands of itself. Furthermore, wherever you come from there should be accountability and responsibility for your actions, something which cannot be taken seriously through simple words and sorries, but rather by making practical amends and real nurturing of previously-mentioned personal and universal principles in your day-to-day and legislation.
I do not speak ill of, I frankly hope, even a majority of the American citizens. I believe and know there are many, many good people and people who genuinely possess aforementioned qualities within this country who are doing practical efforts at improving the state of their nation. I also believe, perhaps hypocritically, that we should blame individual people for their individual action, rather than generalize and apply prejudice towards a whole nation when dealing with individual matters. However, as an institution and symbol of Greatness, this nation is deplorable and should feel utterly ashamed of itself.
If you are an American reading this, all I can say is Merry Civil War, and please do not invade us, our oil reserves are lesser than Venezuela’s. I do not possess religious faith of any kind, but recognizing that you are a religious nation, my final words are that if you are directly responsible for the reprehensible state of your country, knowingly or (most likely, almost certainly, definitely) unknowingly, God’s judgment will not be kind towards you.
